Back To Basics
its been so crazy setteling into a new routine with a toddler and a newborn, can't describe it. But I'm so blessed and grateful for my two little boys, I know that the sleepless nights and countless hours of changing, feeding and catering to their needs will fly by and this too will all become a memory of the past (can't wait).
Although I'm in complete baby mode right now I CANNOT wait to get back into the gym, to my body and to my work! As it's only been about 3 weeks since I had the baby I'm still waiting for my Dr to give me the green light to get back to working out, so in the meantime I'm trying to be on top of my nutrition and eating habits. Can't say it's been easy to reintroduce clean eating as during this pregnancy I basically ate what I wanted and slacked to follow my own advice and knowledge but I don't regret even one dessert!!
now that the indulging period is over I'm ready to clean my body inside out! I'm excited to share this journey with you and hopefully inspire some of you to learn more about what's good, bad and some tricks of how to balance it all. Please don't think that this means kale all day everyday as I myself love to eat and although I really try to be conscious of what I'm eating at the end of the day no one wants to be miserable eating their salad while your friends enjoying creamy pasta (Mmm..) and promote an unhealthy relationship with food.
I'm not an extremist of any kind. I love meat and dairy, I love fats and sweets, I'm not a raw vegan or a vegetarian but I do try to eat more plant based foods when I can. The secret to enjoy it all is to be aware of the quality and benefits of eating these foods for your body. Trust me once I learned how some foods effect my body I naturally dropped them off my diet.
Self control is often blamed for bad eating habits and is almost always the answer to why we can't say no to that midnight brownie but you will be surprised how by starting to add more nutrient dense foods into your life together with some essential supplements, those strong cravings will start minimizing and will be easier to control. At the end of the day our bodies are like a machine, fuel it properly and there's no limits to what it can do. My goal is to share my knowledge with you so you can learn to identify your body's needs rather then blame it on that weak "self control". I'm not promoting a diet but a change of lifestyle!
Hope you are sharing the same passion of being happy, balanced and looking good while doing it ;)
